Trump's campaign is focusing on Kamala Harris following her "train wreck" interview on Fox News.

Karoline Leavitt, former national press secretary for President Trump, harshly criticized Vice President Kamala Harris's recent interview on Fox News, labeling it a "train wreck" in a post on social media.

“Kamala Harris’ interview with Bret Baier was a disaster. She appeared angry and defensive, failing to take responsibility for the issues Americans are facing. She couldn't provide a clear answer to any question, which reflects her lack of solutions. Her entire campaign is built on falsehoods about President Trump,” Leavitt remarked on X. “If she can’t manage the pressure of a Fox News interview, how could she handle being President of the United States?” she added.

During the interview, Harris faced intense scrutiny from Bret Baier, who pressed her on various topics, including immigration, President Biden’s mental acuity, transgender issues in prisons, and allegations of violent crimes involving migrants. The two often talked over each other, highlighting the contentious nature of the discussion.

The Make America Great Again PAC echoed Leavitt's sentiments, calling Harris “angry” and “unfit” for office. They remarked, “The American public may never know where Kamala Harris truly stands on key issues, as she seems to prefer discussing sex podcasts over engaging with news outlets that pose straightforward questions. Her erratic and angry demeanor shows she is unfit to be president, and we anticipate her campaign will need another reboot following this performance.” This statement also referenced Harris’s recent appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast. The PAC further criticized her media strategy, suggesting her team has kept her out of the spotlight due to her "disastrous" track record.

In response, Brian Fallon, the communications director for Harris's campaign, stated that Harris achieved her goals during the interview. He emphasized that she successfully communicated her message to conservative audiences and demonstrated her resilience under challenging questioning.

“There are many independents and moderate Republicans, like Nikki Haley supporters, who are open to voting for Vice President Harris. That’s why we are willing to engage with Republicans and appear on Fox News,” Fallon explained. He added, “We believe she effectively reached an audience that may not have been familiar with her arguments and showcased her strength in confronting a challenging interviewer.”
